Regenerative Medicine Treatments in Lake Oswego, OR

Regenerative medicine is not one single treatment. At Maple Medical in Lake Oswego, treatment recommendations are based on your condition, symptoms, goals, prior care, and what Dr. Blatz determines may be appropriate after evaluation.

Patients often come to Maple Medical looking for options beyond temporary symptom relief or more invasive care. Some are interested in PRP therapy. Others are researching cell therapy, shockwave therapy, EMTT, Tenex, TenJet, or Sonex carpal tunnel release. Many are not sure which treatment they need, and that is completely normal.

The purpose of a consultation is to help you better understand what may be causing your pain or mobility concern, which treatment options may fit your needs, and what a personalized care plan could look like.

Treatment Starts With the Condition

At Maple Medical, we do not begin with a menu of procedures. We begin by understanding the problem.

Pain may come from a joint, tendon, ligament, soft tissue structure, nerve, or a combination of factors. The right treatment for knee pain may look different from the right treatment for plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel symptoms, osteoarthritis, shoulder pain, hip pain, or chronic tendon pain.

That is why your evaluation matters. Before recommending treatment, Dr. Blatz will consider your symptoms, previous care, activity level, imaging history, medical history, and goals. When appropriate, ultrasound may be used to support evaluation, treatment planning, or image-guided care.

Our Treatment Options

Maple Medical offers a focused range of regenerative medicine, energy-based therapies, image-guided care, and minimally invasive procedures. Your plan may include one option or a combination of approaches depending on your needs.

PRP Therapy

PRP therapy uses platelet-rich plasma from your own blood. It may be considered for certain joint, tendon, ligament, or soft tissue concerns when a targeted regenerative option is appropriate.

Patients may explore PRP therapy for concerns such as knee pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, tendon injuries, plantar fasciitis, or osteoarthritis-related symptoms.

Cell Therapy: MFAT & BMAC

Many patients searching for stem cell therapy are looking for biologic treatment options that use material from their own body. At Maple Medical, cell therapy may include MFAT, or microfragmented adipose tissue, and BMAC, or bone marrow aspirate concentrate.

These options may be considered for certain orthopedic or musculoskeletal concerns depending on the patient’s condition, goals, and evaluation.

Shockwave Therapy and EMTT

Shockwave therapy and EMTT are energy-based treatments that may be used as part of a broader musculoskeletal care plan.

Shockwave therapy uses acoustic energy to stimulate tissue response in targeted areas. EMTT, or electromagnetic transduction therapy, uses electromagnetic energy and may be considered for certain joint, tendon, soft tissue, or recovery-related concerns.

Depending on your needs, one or both therapies may be discussed as part of your treatment plan.

Tenex / TenJet

Tenex and TenJet are minimally invasive options for certain chronic tendon and soft tissue concerns. They may be considered when unhealthy or damaged tendon tissue is contributing to ongoing pain and limited function.

These procedures may be discussed for select tendon issues, including certain elbow, Achilles, patellar, shoulder, hip, or other chronic tendon concerns.

Sonex Carpal Tunnel Release

Sonex carpal tunnel release is an ultra-minimally invasive option for appropriate patients with carpal tunnel syndrome.

If numbness, tingling, weakness, or nighttime hand symptoms are affecting sleep, work, driving, typing, gripping, or daily function, Dr. Blatz can help determine whether your symptoms fit a carpal tunnel pattern and whether Sonex may be appropriate.

Supportive Recovery Care

Some treatment plans may also include physical therapy coordination, activity guidance, follow-up care, maintenance recommendations, or at-home red light therapy when appropriate.

Recovery often involves more than a single procedure. Maple Medical’s goal is to help patients understand how each part of the plan fits together.

How Dr. Blatz Determines Which Treatment May Be Appropriate

The right treatment depends on the diagnosis, the tissue involved, the severity of symptoms, previous care, and the patient’s goals.

For example, tendon pain that has lasted for months may require a different approach than early joint irritation. Carpal tunnel symptoms require a different evaluation than osteoarthritis. Plantar fasciitis may involve tissue irritation, calf tightness, footwear, activity load, and recovery history.

During your consultation, Dr. Blatz will explain which options may be worth considering, which options may not fit your situation, and what next steps may make sense.

What to Expect Before Treatment

Before treatment begins, Maple Medical will help you understand the recommended plan, preparation, expected costs, and follow-up guidance.

If you have imaging, reports, records, or notes from previous care, please bring them with you or ask our team how to share them before your visit. These materials can help support a more complete conversation about your condition.

Many regenerative medicine treatments are not covered by insurance. Our team will review expected costs before treatment begins.
